The Indian Ocean Island Games 2011 will be taking place in Seychelles in the month of August. Eden Island is proudly hosting the Sailing competition which will consist of laser boat and windsurfing categories and promises to be a thrilling event, should the winds be favourable.
Launching from Eden Island's Anse Tec Tec beach, sailors in three disciplines will compete against one another in this thrilling seven day event where all the sailing action will take place between Eden Island, St. Anne and Cerf Island. Spectators will be able to view the action up close thanks to a Vijay Construction barge situated near the sailing site. The closing ceremony and prize giving will take place on 12 August 2011 at Eden House where we hope to see one of the Seychelles competitors on the podium. Best of luck to all involved in the games.
